Report Settings

Written by Niclas Aunin

What it is

Report Settings is the configuration hub for a single report. It holds everything that defines how that report behaves: which companies are your competitors, which domains and channels belong to your brand, how companies are matched to your brand, and how you export the data.

It sits at its own page, reachable from the gear icon in the top right corner of any report page, or from the gear icon next to a report row on your home page.

Report Settings has five tabs:

Tab

What you configure

General

Report identity (read-only) and archive requests

Associations

Linked domains and your owned social/web channels

Competitors

Mark competitors and set view defaults

Matching

How brand mentions are matched to your company

Export

CSV export of your report data (Growth & Custom plans)

The General tab is read-only by design. It shows the report identity so you can verify you are in the right place and reference it in support requests:

  • Company name

  • Report item

  • Report ID

  • Organisation name

It also holds a Request archive action. Clicking it opens a pre-filled email to the ALLMO team so you can request that a report be archived. Useful when a client churns or a brand is retired, without losing the historical data.

Why it matters

In ALLMO, a report is the central tracking unit. One report tracks one brand plus all its competitors.

  • You can configure two reports for two different brands completely independently.

  • Your whole organisation sees the same competitor set, the same owned channels, and the same view defaults. No divergence between team members.

How to use it

  1. Open any report in ALLMO.

  2. Click the gear icon in the top right corner. (Alternatively: from your home page, click the gear icon on the row of the report you want to configure.)

  3. You land on the General tab. Check that the company name and report ID match the report you intended to open.

  4. Switch to the tab you need:

    • Associations → declare your linked domains and owned channels

    • Competitors → mark competitors and set view defaults

    • Matching → control how mentions are matched to your brand

    • Export → download your report data as CSV

  5. To archive a report, click Request archive on the General tab and send the pre-filled email.

There are a few important concepts to keep in mind:

  • Report-scoped, not account-scoped. Settings apply to the report you are currently in. The report ID is part of the URL, so switching reports switches the settings you are editing. Account-level settings (billing, credits, your user profile) stay where they are in Account Settings.

  • Shared across the organisation. Changes take effect for every member of your organisation, not just for you. If a colleague marks a competitor or sets a view default, you will see it too.
