Introducing ALLMOs Reddit Optimizer feature

The Reddit Optimization feature is a workflow inside ALLMO that scans your AI visibility responses, extracts every Reddit URL the models cited, and ranks those threads by how often they appear and how broadly they influence answers about your space. You get two clear buckets: Pending (threads to act on) and Completed (threads you've already worked).

Why Reddit shapes what AI models say about your brand

Reddit has become one of the most heavily cited domains in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and other AI answer engines. When models look for opinions, comparisons or "best of" recommendations, they frequently quote Reddit threads verbatim. If your brand is missing, or worse, mentioned negatively in those threads, the model carries that signal forward into every future answer. Reddit is also a key training data source for future model versions, so today's threads shape tomorrow's defaults.

How threads are discovered, ranked and scored

  • ALLMO reads all Reddit URLs cited in your report's tracked prompt responses.

  • Subreddit landing pages and other non thread URLs are filtered out so you only see actionable conversations.

  • For each thread, three signals are shown:

    • Count: how often the thread was cited across your prompts (a proxy for influence).

    • Distinct Prompts: how many different prompts pulled this thread in (a signal of topical breadth).

    • Company Mentioned %: how often your brand actually appears when the thread is cited.

  • Pending threads are sorted by highest citation count first, so the most influential threads sit at the top.

  • Hitting Update runs a fresh scan and reports how many threads were inserted or refreshed.

Working through your pending list

  1. Open Recommendations › Reddit Optimization for the report you are working on.

  2. Click Update to pull the latest cited threads (the "last updated" tooltip shows when this last ran).

  3. Work the Pending list top down. The highest Count combined with the lowest Company Mentioned % is usually the biggest opportunity.

  4. Click the URL to open the thread on Reddit.

  5. Take action (see below), then check the box to move the thread to Completed. Uncheck to send it back to Pending.

Note: ALLMO does not write or post on Reddit on your behalf. We help you save time by identifying relevant conversations, but in line with Reddit’s policies, writing comments is left to humans.

Choosing the right play for each thread

  • Your brand is mentioned positively: upvote the comment so it ranks higher in the thread, which increases the chance models keep quoting it.

  • Your brand is missing entirely: join the conversation with a genuinely useful comment. Use descriptive, specific language (model names, use cases, locations) so the snippet is retrievable.

  • A competitor dominates: do not attack. Add a complementary perspective or a use case where you are the better fit.

  • The thread is outdated: consider posting an updated thread in the same subreddit and linking back to the original.

Compliance note: Always follow each subreddit's rules and Reddit's site wide content policy. Self promotion that ignores community norms gets removed fast and can hurt the brand signal you are trying to build.
