AI Page Index & Page Validation
1. What it is
Page Index and Page Validation are ALLMO's tools for tracking whether your individual URLs are actually known to AI search engines.
Page Validation is the URL-level view inside each sitemap. Here you see, URL by URL, whether ChatGPT and Perplexity have indexed the page or not.
Think of Page Index as your folder structure, and Page Validation as the file-level detail.
2. Why checking AI indexing status matters for GEO
AI assistants can only cite pages they know exist. If your /pricing page isn't indexed by ChatGPT, it cannot be recommended in an answer, no matter how good the content is.
For traditional search, Google Search Console (GSC) and Bing Webmaster Tools showed you whether Google indexed a URL. That's not the case for AI. While ChatGPT and Perplexity rely on results from search engines including but not limited to Google and Bing, they do maintain their own indexes, and coverage is often patchy, especially for newer domains, deeper URLs, and recently updated pages.
Page Validation answers the question your SEO dashboard can't: Does the AI actually know this page exists?
3. How ALLMO validates your page indexing status for ChatGPT and Perplexity
You add a sitemap URL. ALLMO parses it and pulls every URL listed.
For each URL, you can check indexing status in ChatGPT and Perplexity.
Status is checked per URL, per model. A page can be indexed in one model and not the other.
You can also enable automated monitoring, so newly added pages are automatically checked without manual work.
Indexing checks consume Indexing Credits (one credit per URL per model checked). Your current balance is always visible in the header.
4. How to add a sitemap and monitor URL indexing
Adding a sitemap
Go to Page Index.
Click Add Sitemap and paste your sitemap URL (usually
yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml).The domain auto-fills. Confirm and submit.
Processing runs in the background. Larger sitemaps take longer; the page auto-refreshes.
Checking URL indexing status
Click any sitemap row to open Page Validation.
Filter by indexed / not indexed / not checked, or search for a specific URL.
Select URLs individually or in bulk, then choose Start Monitoring for ChatGPT or Perplexity.
The credit cost equals the number of URLs selected. If you don't have enough credits, the action is disabled.
Automating checks
Toggle automated monitoring at the sitemap level. ALLMO prioritises the oldest unchecked URLs and spreads your credits across them. If you have both ChatGPT and Perplexity auto-monitoring on, each URL can consume up to 2 credits (one per model).
5. How to act on missing or lost AI indexing
Not indexed in ChatGPT or Perplexity? Check if there are any technical issues with your page, or Robots.txt blocking the crawler. Then send the URL to Warm-up. That's what the feature exists for.
Indexed in one model but not the other? This is common. Prioritise warm-up for the missing model based on where your audience actually uses AI.
Large sitemap with mostly-unknown URLs? Focus credits on your highest-value pages first: product pages, pricing, core landing pages, top-performing blog posts. Don't spend credits validating every tag archive page.
A good rule of thumb: validate the 20% of pages that drive 80% of your commercial outcomes before worrying about the rest.
6. Additional info / FAQ
Why do you only support ChatGPT and Perplexity? We focus on ChatGPT and Perplexity because we saw the biggest issues there. In contrast, Google Gemini is deeply integrated with Google Search. In most cases, if your page is indexed in Google, it is also eligible to appear in Gemini. You can verify this using Google Search Console.
